How does Recruitment work?

Fraternity membership is based on mutual selection: they decide which men they want to join and you decide which fraternity(ies) you want to join. When both “wants” match up, then a man is given a bid, or invitation to join a fraternity, which he can either accept or decline.

In order to know which fraternity is best for you, you need to meet the members as much as possible. Attend the Orientation so you know what to expect out of fraternity membership and what is expected of members for all fraternities. At the Open House, you will get an overview of each fraternity. During chapter events, you will meet members of each fraternity and get a chance to interact with them and determine which one is the best choice for you. Men will come to UC 204D on Friday, September 12 th between 9am and 12:30pm to see if a fraternity has issued a bid
